Parmesan pasta

Certainly! Parmesan pasta is a delicious and simple dish that typically involves pasta combined with a savory Parmesan cheese sauce. Here’s a basic recipe for Parmesan pasta:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (about 225g) of your favorite pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or any pasta of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Parmesan sauce: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the heavy cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the cream mixture, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Season: Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Keep in mind that Parmesan cheese is already salty, so be conservative with the salt until you’ve tasted the sauce.
  6. Combine with pasta: Add the cooked and drained pasta to the skillet with the Parmesan sauce. Toss the pasta until it is well coated with the sauce.
  7. Garnish and serve: If desired, garnish the Parmesan pasta with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately while it’s hot.
