Garlic and Butter Flatbread Recipe

Certainly! Here’s a simple recipe for garlic and butter flatbread that you can try:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • Olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.
  2. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the warm water. Mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough back into the bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow the gluten to relax.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Divide the dough into smaller portions, depending on how many flatbreads you want. Roll each portion into a thin, flat circle.
  7. Place the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the surface of each flatbread with melted butter, ensuring an even coating.
  9. Optionally, sprinkle some additional garlic powder on top for extra flavor.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and brush the hot flatbreads with a little more melted butter.
  12. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

You can enjoy these garlic and butter flatbreads on their own or with your favorite dips. They make a great accompaniment to soups, salads, or as a side dish to a main course. Enjoy!
