CHICKEN ALFREDO LASAGNA

Chicken Alfredo Lasagna is a delicious twist on traditional lasagna, combining the rich and creamy Alfredo sauce with tender chicken and layers of pasta. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Whisk in the flour to create a roux, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  4. Gradually whisk in the whole milk and heavy cream, making sure the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  5. Continue cooking and stirring until the sauce thickens. Add salt, black pepper, and nutmeg to season the Alfredo sauce. Remove the saucepan from heat.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with 1 cup of the Alfredo sauce.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix together the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  8. To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of the Alfredo sauce in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Place 3 lasagna noodles on top.
  9. Add half of the chicken mixture on the noodles, followed by a third of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with a final layer of noodles and topping with the remaining cheese mixture.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the lasagna is hot and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
  11. Allow the lasagna to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
