Cake Mix Christmas Cookies

Posted on December 6, 2024
Cake Mix Christmas Cookies RecipeThis easy and festive recipe uses cake mix as the base, making it quick and simple to prepare Christmas cookies! You can customize them with holiday-themed sprinkles, chocolate chips, or even frosting.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of cake mix (any flavor, such as vanilla, chocolate, or red velvet)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Christmas-themed sprinkles (or chocolate chips, chopped candy canes, etc.)
  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract for extra flavor

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. If you’d like, add vanilla extract. Stir until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Add Fun Mix-ins: Fold in your sprinkles or any other mix-ins you prefer (chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, chopped candy canes, etc.).
  4. Form the Cookies: Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Space them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until they are lightly golden around the edges. The cookies may seem soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
  6. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Enjoy: Once cooled, enjoy these festive, soft, and delicious cake mix Christmas cookies! You can also add a little frosting or extra sprinkles if desired.

Tips:

  • Customize: Use different flavored cake mixes to create unique cookies (chocolate, red velvet, lemon, etc.).
  • Decorate: For a more decorative touch, frost the cookies with holiday-themed icing or add a candy cane on top.
  • Storage: Store these cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.

Enjoy baking these easy Christmas cookies, and spread some holiday cheer!
