Tender Chicken Delight Recipe

Here’s a simple and delicious Tender Chicken Delight recipe that’s sure to be a hit! This dish features juicy, tender chicken cooked with a flavorful combination of herbs, spices, and cream.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken:
    • If the chicken breasts are thick, butterfly them or pound them to an even thickness for more even cooking. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and basil.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon.
    • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer the sauce for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  4. Combine Chicken and Sauce:
    • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the chicken. Simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb some of the sauce and become tender.
  5. Serve:
    • Once the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened to your liking, remove from heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil if desired.
    • Serve the chicken with your choice of sides, such as rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.

Tips:

  • For added flavor, marinate the chicken breasts in a bit of olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs for an hour before cooking.
  • You can add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach to the sauce for extra color and flavor.
