A Pecan Pie Dump Cake is a super easy and delicious dessert that combines the rich flavor of pecan pie with the simplicity of a dump cake. Here’s a basic recipe for you:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) of yellow cake mix (or butter cake mix)
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

  3. Layer Ingredients:

    • Spread the chopped pecans evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish.
    • Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the pecans, spreading it evenly.
    • Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly on top of the condensed milk layer. Do not stir it in.
  4. Add Butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the dry cake mix, making sure it’s spread out evenly across the top.

  5. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.

  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the dump cake to cool for a few minutes before serving. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature. You can also add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.

Optional Variations:

  • Add chocolate chips for a chocolatey twist.
  • Use a spice cake mix for a more flavorful base.

It’s so easy, and the result is a gooey, sweet dessert that tastes just like pecan pie! Enjoy!
