Cauliflower Popcorn

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized cauliflower head
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Cauliflower:
    • Wash and dry the cauliflower thoroughly.
    • Cut the cauliflower into small, bite-sized florets, resembling popcorn.
  3. Seasoning:
    • In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil until evenly coated.
    • Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss again to distribute the seasoning evenly.
  4. Spread on Baking Sheet:
    • Spread the seasoned cauliflower florets in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure they are not crowded to allow even roasting.
  5. Roast in the Oven:
    • Roast the cauliflower in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Stir or shake the pan halfway through the cooking time for even roasting.
  6. Optional Parmesan Cheese:
    • If you’d like, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the roasted cauliflower during the last 5 minutes of cooking. This adds extra flavor.
  7. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
    • Serve your cauliflower popcorn in a bowl and enjoy!
