Lemon Bliss Tart

A Lemon Bliss Tart sounds delightful! Here’s a simple recipe you can try for a refreshing, tangy, and sweet dessert:

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional, for a creamier texture)

For the topping:

  • Whipped cream or meringue (optional)
  • Fresh lemon zest or slices for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the crust:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, melted butter, and salt. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a tart pan (or pie pan) to form an even layer.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Let it cool while you make the filling.

2. Make the filling:

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and egg yolks until smooth and fully combined.
  • If you want a slightly creamier filling, fold in the heavy cream.

3. Fill the crust:

  • Pour the lemon filling into the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.

4. Cool and chill:

  • Allow the tart to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours to fully set.

5. Serve:

  • Top with whipped cream, meringue, or fresh lemon zest or slices before serving for an extra touch of flavor.
