Certainly! Stuffed bell peppers are a delightful and flavorful dish that combines the natural sweetness of bell peppers with a savory and well-seasoned filling. Here’s a classic recipe for preparing stuffed bell peppers:

Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 4 large bell peppers, any color
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Shredded cheese for topping (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes from the inside. Rinse the peppers under cold water and set them aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat, chopped onion, and minced garlic until the meat is browned and the onions are soft.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Stuff the bell peppers with the meat and rice mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  6. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese over the tops of the stuffed peppers.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt and turn golden.
  9. Once done, remove the stuffed peppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
