Here’s a delicious recipe for Cajun Salmon and Shrimp. This dish is packed with flavor and is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients

For the Cajun Seasoning:

  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Salmon and Shrimp:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional Sides:

  • Steamed rice or quinoa
  • Sautéed vegetables (such as bell peppers, zucchini, and asparagus)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cajun Seasoning:
    • In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the Cajun seasoning.
  2. Season the Salmon and Shrimp:
    • Pat the salmon fillets and shrimp dry with paper towels.
    • Rub the Cajun seasoning all over the salmon fillets and shrimp, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Cook the Salmon:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin-side down (if they have skin). Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a nice sear. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
    • Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Cook the Shrimp:
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
    • Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp.
  5. Serve:
    • Arrange the cooked salmon fillets and shrimp on a serving platter.
    • Garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley.
    • Serve with your choice of sides, such as steamed rice or quinoa and sautéed vegetables.

Enjoy your flavorful Cajun Salmon and Shrimp!
