Eat Stuffed Cabbages Rolls

Stuffed cabbage rolls are a delicious and comforting dish enjoyed in many cuisines around the world. Here’s a simple recipe for making stuffed cabbage rolls:

Ingredients:

For the cabbage rolls:

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or a mix)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the tomato sauce:

  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and place the whole head in the boiling water. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the outer leaves are pliable. Remove the cabbage from the water and let it cool slightly. Peel off the softened leaves and set them aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well to form the stuffing mixture.
  4. Take a cabbage leaf and place a small amount of the stuffing mixture in the center. Roll the leaf around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go, to form a roll. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to create the tomato sauce.
  6. Place the cabbage rolls in a baking dish, seam side down. Pour the tomato sauce over the rolls, covering them evenly.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the cabbage rolls are cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
