Creamy Beef and Shells

“Creamy Beef and Shells” is a popular pasta dish. To prepare it, you’ll need the following ingredients:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces medium pasta shells
  • 1 (14-ounce) can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8-ounce) can of tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Break it up into small pieces as it cooks. Once it’s browned, remove any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté them until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Stir in the pasta shells, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  4. Cover the skillet and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the pasta is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and cheddar cheese. Continue to cook, stirring, until the cheese is melted, and the sauce is creamy.
  6. If the mixture becomes too thick, you can add a bit more beef broth or cream to reach your desired consistency.
  7. Once the cheese is melted, and the sauce is creamy, remove the skillet from the heat.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
  9. Serve the creamy beef and shells hot and enjoy your meal!
