If you’re looking to recreate a similar dish at home, here’s a simple recipe idea inspired by Texas Roadhouse’s Butter Chicken Skillet:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional for color)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
    • Cook the chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Make the Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt over medium heat.
    • Once the butter is melted, stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
    • Stir in additional garlic powder and any seasonings you prefer to taste.
    • Continue simmering for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Combine Chicken and Sauce:

    • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the butter sauce over the chicken.
    • Let it simmer in the sauce for another 5 minutes so the flavors can meld together.
  4. Serve:

    • Serve the chicken on a plate, drizzling extra butter sauce over the top.
    • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a little zest.
