🍫 Whopper Cheesecake Recipe
🧁 Ingredients
For the crust:
-
1 ½ cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs (or crushed chocolate wafers)
-
¼ cup granulated sugar
-
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
For the filling:
-
3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup granulated sugar
-
3 large eggs
-
1 cup sour cream
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 cup chopped Whoppers (malted milk balls)
For the topping (optional but delicious):
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
-
½ cup chopped Whoppers
🧑🍳 Instructions
1. Preheat oven:
Set to 325°F (163°C). Line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper. Wrap the outside with foil to prevent leaks (especially if baking in a water bath).
2. Make the crust:
Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until it looks like wet sand. Press evenly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool slightly.
3. Make the filling:
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and beat again. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix until combined.
Gently fold in the chopped Whoppers with a spatula.
4. Bake:
Pour filling over the crust. Tap pan to remove air bubbles. Place the pan in a water bath (optional, but helps prevent cracking). Bake for 55–65 minutes, until edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
Turn off oven, crack the door, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour. Then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
5. Make the topping:
Heat heavy cream until just boiling. Pour over chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth. Let cool slightly, then pour over chilled cheesecake.
Sprinkle chopped Whoppers on top for decoration.
