Super-Easy Chocolate Donuts Recipe

Here’s a super-easy recipe for chocolate donuts:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Spoon the batter into a piping bag or a large ziplock bag with a corner snipped off. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean.
  7. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. To make the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
  9. Dip each cooled donut into the glaze, allowing any excess glaze to drip off. Place the glazed donuts back onto the wire rack to set.
  10. Enjoy your delicious homemade chocolate donuts!

Feel free to customize these donuts by adding sprinkles, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut on top of the glaze, if desired.
