Here’s a delightful recipe for Strawberry Sensation Ice Cream that combines fresh strawberries, cream, and a touch of vanilla for a rich, creamy dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness of strawberries)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, ¼ cup of sugar, and lemon juice.
    • Let the mixture sit for about 20-30 minutes until the strawberries release their juices.
  2. Puree the Strawberries:
    • After the strawberries have macerated, use a blender or food processor to puree them until smooth.
    • If you prefer chunks of strawberries in your ice cream, reserve about ½ cup of the strawberry mixture to stir in later.
  3. Make the Ice Cream Base:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the remaining sugar, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
    • Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Combine and Chill:
    • Add the strawberry puree to the cream mixture and stir well to combine.
    • Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
  5. Churn the Ice Cream:
    • Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
    • If you reserved some of the strawberry mixture, add it during the last few minutes of churning.
  6. Freeze:
    • Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  7. Serve:
    • Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy your homemade Strawberry Sensation Ice Cream!

This ice cream is perfect on its own or served with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, or even a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Enjoy!
