Here’s a recipe for a Spinach Avocado Chicken Burger — juicy, nutritious, and packed with flavor:


🥑 Spinach Avocado Chicken Burger Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Patties:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground chicken

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

  • 1 small onion, finely diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)

  • 1 egg (to bind)

Toppings:

  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced or mashed

  • Sliced tomato

  • Leafy greens (lettuce, arugula, or baby spinach)

  • Red onion slices (optional)

  • Cheese slice (optional: Swiss, provolone, or mozzarella)

For Serving:

  • Whole wheat burger buns (or lettuce wraps for low-carb)

  • Your favorite condiments (mayo, mustard, yogurt sauce, etc.)


Instructions:

  1. Make the Patties:

    • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.

    • Mix until everything is well combined, but don’t overmix.

    • Shape into 4–5 equal-sized patties.

  2. Cook the Patties:

    • Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it.

    • Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

    • Add cheese slices on top in the last minute if using, and cover to melt.

  3. Assemble the Burgers:

    • Toast the buns (optional).

    • Layer the bottom bun with greens, chicken patty, avocado, tomato, onion, and your favorite sauce.

    • Top with the other half of the bun.

  4. Serve:

    • Serve warm with sweet potato fries, salad, or grilled veggies.


🔄 Variations:

  • Add mashed avocado directly into the patty mix for creamier texture.

  • Spice it up with jalapeños or chipotle mayo.

  • Make it dairy-free by skipping cheese or using a vegan option.
