Spaghetti with Shrimp and White Sauce

Sure, here’s a simple recipe for spaghetti with shrimp and white sauce:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it’s melted and well combined with the cream sauce.
  6. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. If you like a bit of heat, you can also add some red pepper flakes at this point.
  7. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss it with the sauce until the pasta is well coated.
  8. Finally, add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and gently toss everything together.
  9. Serve the spaghetti with shrimp and white sauce hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
