Slow cooker roast

Sure, I’d be happy to help you with a slow cooker roast recipe! Here’s a basic recipe for a delicious slow cooker roast:

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 pounds of beef roast (such as chuck roast)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4-5 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 4-5 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

Instructions:

  1. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides until browned. This step adds flavor to the roast, but you can skip it if you’re short on time.
  3. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Put the seared roast on top of the onions and garlic.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, dried thyme, and dried rosemary.
  6. Pour the mixture over the roast.
  7. Add the sliced carrots and potato chunks around the roast.
  8. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the roast is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
  9. Once cooked, you can remove the roast and vegetables and let the juices rest for a few minutes before slicing the roast.
  10. Serve the roast slices with the vegetables and drizzle some of the cooking juices over the top.
