Slow Cooker Minister’s Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup shredded sweetened coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker:
    • Spray the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or line with a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.
  2. Layer the Ingredients:
    • Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the slow cooker.
    • Spoon the crushed pineapple (with juice) over the cherry pie filling.
    • Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the fruit layers.
  3. Add Toppings:
    • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
    • If using, sprinkle the shredded coconut and chopped nuts on top.
  4. Cook:
    • Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or until the cake is set and the edges are lightly browned.
