Posted on January 3, 2025 by admin
Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Slow Cooker Lipton Onion Potatoes. It’s a great side dish for any meal, and the Lipton onion soup mix adds amazing flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs baby potatoes (or regular potatoes, cut into chunks)
  • 1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/2 cup of butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • If using whole baby potatoes, wash them thoroughly. You can leave the skins on, or peel them if you prefer.
    • If using regular potatoes, peel and cut them into chunks (about 1 to 2 inches in size).
  2. Layer the Slow Cooker:
    • Place the potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
    • Sprinkle the Lipton Onion Soup Mix evenly over the potatoes.
    • Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste (if using).
  3. Add Butter and Water:
    • Distribute the pieces of butter evenly over the top of the potatoes.
    • Pour the water over the potatoes as well to help them cook and absorb the flavor.
  4. Cook:
    • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
  5. Serve:
    • Give everything a good stir before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Enjoy your flavorful, buttery Lipton Onion Potatoes! You can adjust the seasoning based on your preferences and try adding some shredded cheese on top for a cheesy twist.
