Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Posted on April 29, 2024

Here’s a simple slow-cooker barbecue ribs recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Start by preparing the ribs. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if it’s still attached. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the dry rub mixture all over the ribs, coating them evenly on both sides.
  4. Pour half of the barbecue sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Place the ribs in the slow cooker, standing them up against the walls of the slow cooker with the meaty side facing outward.
  6. Pour the remaining barbecue sauce over the top of the ribs, covering them completely.
  7. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and cooked through.
  8. Once the ribs are done cooking, carefully remove them from the slow cooker and place them on a serving platter.
  9. Optionally, you can brush the ribs with additional barbecue sauce before serving.
  10. Serve the ribs hot, and enjoy!

This recipe should result in deliciously tender and flavorful barbecue ribs with minimal effort. Enjoy!
