Simple French Crepes

Sure! Here’s a simple recipe for French crepes:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Butter or oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and eggs.
  2. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine and create a smooth batter.
  3. Stir in the melted butter and salt until well incorporated into the batter.
  4. Heat a lightly greased non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the skillet and immediately tilt and rotate the pan to spread the batter thinly and evenly.
  6. Cook the crepe for about 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to lift and the bottom is lightly golden.
  7. Carefully flip the crepe using a spatula and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  8. Remove the cooked crepe from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed.
  9. Serve the crepes warm with your favorite toppings such as Nutella, fresh fruits, jam, whipped cream, or powdered sugar.
