Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)

For the Garlic Cream Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • Fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley (optional)

Instructions:

For the Chicken:

  1. Prep the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts (or thighs) with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. If desired, drizzle some lemon juice over the chicken for extra flavor.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.

For the Garlic Cream Sauce:

  1. Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the sour cream (or Greek yogurt), mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley (if using), and salt and pepper to taste. Stir until smooth and well-combined.

Assembling the Wraps:

  1. Prepare the Tortillas: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet for a few seconds on each side, or microwave them for about 15-20 seconds.
  2. Layer the Wraps: On each tortilla, spread a spoonful of garlic cream sauce. Add a few slices of the cooked chicken, then top with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, cucumber, shredded cheese, and fresh herbs.
  3. Wrap It Up: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it tightly into a wrap. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.

Serving:

  • Serve your savory chicken wraps immediately with extra garlic cream sauce on the side for dipping. You could also pair them with a side of fries, chips, or a fresh salad.
