Here’s a simple recipe for a refreshing flake ice cream. It’s light, creamy, and has bits of chocolate flake for a delightful texture.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (500ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (250ml) whole milk
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 Flake chocolate bars (or chocolate of your choice)
- Optional: fresh mint, fruit, or chocolate syrup for topping
Instructions:
- Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar dissolves completely. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually about 20–30 minutes) until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Add Flake Chocolate: While the ice cream is churning, crumble the Flake chocolate bars into small pieces. When the ice cream is almost done (about 2-3 minutes before finishing), add the crumbled Flake chocolate, so it gets evenly distributed without melting too much.
- Freeze: Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 3-4 hours, or until firm.
- Serve: Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones. You can top it with extra Flake crumbles, fresh fruit, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup for added indulgence.
Enjoy your refreshing flake ice cream!
