Pork Marsala Recipe

Posted on February 2, 2024 by admin

Certainly! Here’s a simple recipe for Pork Marsala:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz (about 1 cup) mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Dredge each pork chop in flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  5. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are tender.
  7. Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to loosen any browned bits.
  8. Bring the liquid to a simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes until it reduces by half.
  9. Stir in the butter until melted, creating a smooth sauce.
  10. Return the pork chops to the skillet, coating them with the Marsala sauce.
  11. Allow the pork chops to simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  12. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Serve the Pork Marsala over cooked pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes, and enjoy!
