Here’s a hearty, flavorful Pork Chop Supreme recipe — a classic comfort food dish featuring juicy pork chops baked in a creamy sauce with onions and sometimes potatoes or rice. This version is baked in the oven with a savory, creamy topping. 🍽️


Pork Chop Supreme Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (¾ to 1 inch thick)

  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)

  • ½ cup milk or heavy cream

  • Optional: ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Optional: 1 cup sliced mushrooms

  • Optional: 1½ cups cooked rice or thin-sliced potatoes (to bake underneath)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.

  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown pork chops in oil or butter for about 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, sauté onions (and mushrooms if using) until soft, about 5 minutes.

  5. In a bowl, mix soup and milk (or cream) until smooth.

  6. If using rice or potatoes, spread them in a greased 9×13” baking dish. Place pork chops on top.

  7. Spread sautéed onions over pork, then pour the soup mixture over everything.

  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45–60 minutes (until chops are tender and cooked through — internal temp should be 145°F/63°C). Remove foil in last 10 minutes for a browner top.

  9. Optional garnish: Chopped parsley or a sprinkle of paprika.


Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve with green beans, steamed broccoli, or a fresh salad.

  • Spoon extra sauce over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
