Parmesan Garlic Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:

  • For the meat sauce:
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1/2 lb ground pork (optional, for extra flavor)
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 cup ketchup
    • 1/4 cup mustard (yellow or Dijon)
    • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp smoked paprika
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes (or tomato sauce)
    • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • For the lasagna layers:
    • 9-12 lasagna noodles (preferably no-boil, or cook regular ones)
    • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon (about 6-8 slices)
    • 1 cup ricotta cheese
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • For the garlic Parmesan topping:
    • 1/2 cup melted butter
    • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the meat sauce:
    • In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and ground pork. Cook until browned, breaking the meat up with a spatula.
    • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
    • Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  2. Prepare the bacon:
    • While the sauce is simmering, cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels, then crumble it into small pieces.
  3. Boil the lasagna noodles:
    • If you’re using regular lasagna noodles, cook them according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Assemble the lasagna:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.
    • Layer 3-4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
    • Spread 1/3 of the ricotta cheese over the noodles.
    • Add 1/3 of the shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese, followed by 1/3 of the crumbled bacon.
    • Add another layer of meat sauce, followed by the next layer of noodles. Repeat the layering process two more times until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese and bacon on top.
  5. Make the garlic Parmesan topping:
    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley.
    • Pour this mixture evenly over the top layer of the lasagna.
  6. Bake:
    • Cover the lasagna with aluminum foil (to prevent the top from burning) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let it rest:
    • Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. This helps it set for easier serving.
  8. Serve:
    • Slice and serve your Parmesan Garlic Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna with a side of garlic bread or a fresh salad, if desired. Garnish with extra parsley for freshness!

Tips:

  • Cheese Variations: Feel free to experiment with other cheeses like provolone or gouda to elevate the flavor.
  • Bacon: For extra crispiness, consider using thick-cut bacon.
  • Extra Veggies: You can sneak in some finely chopped mushrooms or bell peppers into the meat sauce for added flavor and texture.

This rich, cheesy lasagna will be a crowd-pleaser for any burger or lasagna lover!
