Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops

Posted on June 13, 2024 by admin

Sure! Here’s a recipe for Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges and chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Coatings:
    • In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
    • In a third shallow dish, place the flour.
  2. Coat the Pork Chops:
    • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
    • Dredge each pork chop in the flour, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip the pork chop into the beaten eggs, making sure it is fully coated.
    • Press the pork chop into the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating on all sides.
  3. Cook the Pork Chops:
    • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the pork chops to the skillet (you may need to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan).
    • Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the crust is golden brown and the pork chops are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
  4. Serve:
    • Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
    • Garnish with lemon wedges and chopped parsley if desired.
    • Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Tips:

  • For a healthier version, you can bake the pork chops. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the coated pork chops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray the tops with cooking spray and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Pair these delicious pork chops with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy your Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops!
