Oreo Cinnamon Rolls recipe

Here’s a recipe for Oreo Cinnamon Rolls:

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

For the filling:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 10-12 cookies)

For the cream cheese frosting:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the yeast mixture with sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined. Crush the Oreo cookies into small pieces and set aside.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Spread the filling evenly over the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle the crushed Oreo cookies on top.
  8. Starting from one long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, leaving a little space between each roll. Cover them with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating together softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  12. Once the rolls are done baking, let them cool for a few minutes before spreading the cream cheese frosting on top.
  13. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Oreo Cinnamon Rolls!

These rolls are a delightful twist on traditional cinnamon rolls, with the addition of crushed Oreo cookies adding a delicious chocolatey crunch. Enjoy!
