Orange Dreamsicle Salad

Posted on October 22, 2023

Orange Dreamsicle Salad is a sweet and creamy dessert salad that combines the flavors of orange and vanilla, reminiscent of the classic Dreamsicle popsicles. Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 container (8 ounces) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with 1 cup of cold milk. Whisk until it thickens, which should take about 2 minutes.
  2. Once the pudding has thickened, fold in the drained mandarin oranges and crushed pineapple. Make sure to drain the fruit well to avoid making the salad too watery.
  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until everything is well combined.
  4. Add the miniature marshmallows and shredded coconut, if you choose to include it. Gently fold them into the mixture.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the Orange Dreamsicle Salad for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to chill.
  6. Before serving, you can garnish the top with additional mandarin orange segments or a sprinkle of shredded coconut, if desired.
  7. Serve the Orange Dreamsicle Salad as a sweet and refreshing dessert or side dish at your next gathering.

This dessert salad is creamy, fruity, and reminiscent of the classic orange creamsicle flavor. It’s perfect for potlucks, picnics, or as a sweet treat on a hot day. Enjoy!
