Here’s a cozy and simple One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles recipe — perfect for a weeknight dinner:


One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles

Serves: 4
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins


📝 Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • 3 cups chicken broth (or water with bouillon)

  • 8 oz egg noodles (or any quick-cooking pasta)

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • Grated Parmesan (optional, for serving)


🍳 Instructions:

  1. Season & Sear Chicken:

    • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

    • In a large deep skillet or sauté pan, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.

    • Add chicken and sear 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside (don’t worry if it’s not fully cooked yet).

  2. Cook the Noodles:

    • In the same pan, pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

    • Stir in the egg noodles and a pinch of salt.

    • Cover and cook for 7–9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are just tender.

  3. Return Chicken & Finish:

    • Nestle the chicken back on top of the noodles.

    • Cover and cook another 5–8 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C) and broth is mostly absorbed.

  4. Add Butter & Toss:

    • Add the butter and Italian seasoning.

    • Gently stir noodles to coat in the buttery sauce (you can remove chicken briefly to stir, then return it).

  5. Serve:

    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan if desired.

    • Serve hot — enjoy the tender chicken with buttery, savory noodles!
