Here’s a fun and delicious recipe for Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers – perfect as party snacks, appetizers, or a creative twist on your classic cheeseburger.


🧆 Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers Recipe

Makes about 12-16 mini burgers

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 48 tater tots (for top and bottom “buns” – 3 per burger)

  • 1/2 pound ground beef

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese (cut into small squares)

  • 2-3 slices of cooked bacon (crumbled) – optional

  • Pickle slices (small or cut into quarters)

  • Ketchup and mustard (for drizzling or dipping)

  • Toothpicks or small skewers


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
    Bake the tater tots on a baking sheet for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy. Flip halfway for even crispiness.

  2. Prepare the beef patties:

    • While tots bake, season ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

    • Roll into small balls (about 1 tbsp each) and flatten slightly into mini patties.

    • Cook on a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.

  3. Add cheese:

    • Place a small piece of cheese on each patty just before removing from heat. Cover with a lid for 30 seconds to melt.

  4. Assemble mini burgers:

    • Take 1 tater tot and gently press it down to make a flat base.

    • Layer: flat tot, beef patty with cheese, bacon (if using), a tiny pickle slice, and another flat tot on top.

    • Secure with a toothpick or skewer.

  5. Serve:

    • Drizzle with ketchup/mustard or serve on the side for dipping.
