MELT IN YOUR MOUTH CHICKEN

“Melt in your mouth” chicken usually refers to a dish where the chicken is cooked to perfection, resulting in a tender and juicy texture that literally melts in your mouth. Here’s a simple recipe for achieving such deliciousness:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    • In a bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, oregano, salt, and pepper.
    • Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and coat them evenly with the marinade.
    • Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  2. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Bake the Chicken:
    • Place the marinated chicken breasts in a baking dish.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Broil for Crispy Finish (Optional):
    • If you like a slightly crispy exterior, you can broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
    • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken before serving to add a burst of citrusy flavor.
