Posted on March 24, 2024August 15, 2024 by admin

“Marry Me Chicken Pasta” is a popular dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a creamy tomato sauce, often served over pasta. The name suggests that the dish is so delicious, it could convince someone to propose marriage after tasting it. Here’s a basic recipe to make Marry Me Chicken Pasta:

Ingredients:

  • 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 8 ounces pasta of your choice (such as penne or fettuccine)

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cherry tomatoes. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes start to soften.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it’s melted and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken breasts into strips and return them to the skillet, coating them with the sauce.
  7. Stir in chopped basil and let the sauce simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  8. While the sauce simmers, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta.
  9. Serve the chicken and sauce over the cooked pasta.
  10. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, if desired.
  11. Enjoy your Marry Me Chicken Pasta!

Feel free to adjust the seasonings or add extra ingredients such as spinach, mushrooms, or red pepper flakes to customize the dish to your taste preferences.
