Longhorn Steakhouse’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a popular dish that features a juicy, grilled chicken breast topped with a rich, creamy Parmesan and provolone cheese crust. Here’s a basic recipe to recreate this dish at home:

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Parmesan Crust:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Parmesan Crust:
    • In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, provolone cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
    • In another bowl, mix the Panko breadcrumbs with the melted butter until well combined.
  3. Assemble and Bake:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Place the cooked chicken breasts on a baking sheet.
    • Spread a generous amount of the cheese mixture on top of each chicken breast.
    • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve hot with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
