🍋 Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken with Creamy Parmesan Pasta

🐔 Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 large chicken breasts (sliced in half horizontally)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 2 tbsp flour (for light coating)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

For the Creamy Parmesan Pasta:

  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine or linguine)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes


🔥 Instructions

1. Prepare Chicken:

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Lightly coat both sides with flour.

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.

  • Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

2. Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, add a bit more butter if needed.

  • Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Add lemon juice and zest, scraping up brown bits from the bottom of the pan.

  • Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and let simmer for 1–2 minutes.

3. Make the Pasta:

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.

  • In a separate saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.

  • Add cream and chicken broth; bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  • Toss in cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess.

4. Plate & Serve:

  • Serve creamy Parmesan pasta topped with lemon garlic butter chicken.

  • Garnish with parsley, extra lemon zest, and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
