Here’s a delicious Italian Sausage Quiche recipe for you!

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 4–5 tablespoons ice water

For the Filling:

  • 1 pound Italian sausage (mild or spicy, based on your preference)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup chopped spinach (fresh or frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or milk)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

  1. Make the Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in ice water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  2. Chill: Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Pre-bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Prick the bottom with a fork and pre-bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.

Prepare the Filling:

  1. Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  2. Mix Eggs and Cream: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In the pre-baked crust, layer the cooked sausage, chopped spinach, and mozzarella cheese. Pour the egg mixture on top. If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake:

  1. Bake the Quiche: Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.
  2. Cool and Serve: Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Enjoy!

This Italian Sausage Quiche is perfect for brunch or a hearty dinner. Pair it with a side salad for a complete meal!
