Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars — no baking required!


🍫 Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients:

For the base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 14 whole crackers)

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

For the topping:

  • 1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips

  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the base layer:

    • In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 cup of peanut butter until smooth and fully combined.

    • Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish (line with parchment paper for easier removal).

  2. Make the chocolate topping:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and ¼ cup peanut butter.

    • Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until smooth and melted (usually takes about 1–1½ minutes total).

  3. Assemble:

    • Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly with a spatula.

  4. Chill:

    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

  5. Cut and serve:

    • Once set, remove from the fridge and let sit for 10 minutes before cutting into bars.

    • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week (or freeze for longer storage).


✅ Tips:

  • Use natural peanut butter if you prefer a less sweet bar, but stir it well first.

  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before chilling for a salty-sweet twist.

  • Want a crunch? Mix in chopped peanuts or crisped rice cereal to the base layer.
