Hawaiian Banana Bread

Hawaiian Banana Bread is a delightful variation of the traditional banana bread, often infused with tropical flavors to give it a unique Hawaiian twist. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, chopped (optional)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the mashed bananas, crushed pineapple, shredded coconut, and chopped macadamia nuts (if using).
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow the Hawaiian Banana Bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, slice and enjoy your tropical twist on classic banana bread!

Feel free to customize this recipe by adding other tropical ingredients like mango, guava, or even a touch of coconut extract for an extra burst of Hawaiian flavor.
