It sounds like you’re asking for a recipe for a hamburger potato casserole! Here’s a simple and hearty recipe you can try:

Hamburger Potato Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4-5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken soup)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional: or any cheese you prefer)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for greasing the casserole dish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  2. Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onions and minced garlic (if using). Drain any excess fat and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the potatoes: Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. You can either use a knife or a mandolin slicer for even slices.
  4. Mix the casserole ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk. Stir until smooth. Add in the cooked ground beef mixture and mix well.
  5. Layer the casserole: In the greased baking dish, start by placing a layer of sliced potatoes at the bottom. Then, spread some of the beef mixture over the potatoes. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of the beef mixture on top.
  6. Top with cheese (optional): Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top for extra flavor and a cheesy crust.
  7. Bake the casserole: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

This comforting dish combines the savory flavors of ground beef, tender potatoes, and creamy soup, making it a great family meal!
