Ham & Cheese Egg Bake

Posted on March 27, 2025

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for a Ham & Cheese Egg Bake:

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 cup milk (or heavy cream for a richer texture)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)

  • 1/2 cup diced onion (optional)

  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking spray (for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

  2. Prepare the egg mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Add garlic powder, dried parsley, or any other seasonings you like.

  3. Layer the ingredients:

    • Spread the diced ham evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.

    • If using, sprinkle the diced onions and bell peppers over the ham.

    • Pour the egg mixture over the ham (and veggies, if included).

    • Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.

  4. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set, and the top is golden brown and bubbly. You can check by inserting a knife into the center — it should come out clean.

  5. Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. This can be served warm for breakfast, brunch, or even a light dinner.

Enjoy your Ham & Cheese Egg Bake! You can also add in spinach, mushrooms, or other veggies if you want to customize it further.
