A Ground Beef and Peppers Skillet is a quick and tasty dish that’s packed with flavor. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional for some heat)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes (optional for extra moisture)
  • Olive oil or cooking oil for sautéing

Instructions:

  1. Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Once browned, drain any excess fat.
  2. Sauté the veggies: Add the diced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until they soften (about 5–7 minutes). Add the garlic and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  3. Season: Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat everything evenly.
  4. Add tomatoes (optional): If you like a saucy dish, add the diced tomatoes and let everything simmer for 5–10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve: Once everything is cooked through and flavorful, taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, and enjoy!
