Posted on May 10, 2024 by admin

Here’s a simple recipe for garlic shrimp pasta:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice (spaghetti, linguine, fettuccine, etc.)
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) dry white wine (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and white wine (if using), and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the liquid reduces slightly and the shrimp are fully cooked.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the garlic-infused sauce.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle chopped parsley over the pasta. Give it a final toss.
  7. Serve the garlic shrimp pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Enjoy your delicious garlic shrimp pasta!
