For the Boil:

  • 1 lb snow crab legs (or king crab)

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled or unpeeled, tail-on)

  • 1 lb mussels or clams (optional)

  • 1 lb andouille sausage or smoked sausage, sliced

  • 3–4 corn on the cob, halved

  • 1 lb baby potatoes (red or gold), halved

  • 1 lemon, halved

  • 4–5 garlic cloves, smashed

  • 2–3 bay leaves

  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning

  • Salt to taste

  • Water

Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

  • 8–10 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to spice level)

  • 1 tsp paprika (optional, for color)

  • 1 tsp lemon pepper

  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

  • Optional: a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne for heat


🍳 Instructions

1. Boil the Veggies & Sausage

  1. In a large stock pot, fill with enough water to cover all ingredients.

  2. Add salt, smashed garlic, bay leaves, lemon halves (squeeze the juice in before dropping them), and Old Bay seasoning.

  3. Bring to a boil.

  4. Add potatoes. Cook for about 10 minutes.

  5. Add corn and sausage slices. Cook for another 5–7 minutes.

2. Add the Seafood

  1. Add crab legs and mussels/clams. Boil for 5 minutes.

  2. Add shrimp last, boil for 2–3 minutes or until pink and opaque.

  3. Drain everything and set aside in a large bowl or spread over parchment on a table (for classic seafood boil style).


3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).

  3. Stir in Cajun seasoning, Old Bay, lemon pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  4. Add lemon juice and chopped parsley.

  5. Let it simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.


4. Combine & Serve

  • Pour the garlic butter sauce over the boiled seafood and veggies.

  • Toss everything gently to coat well.

  • Garnish with more parsley and lemon wedges.

  • Serve hot with crusty bread, rice, or just napkins and cold drinks!
