🥡 Garlic Butter Steak and Shrimp Stir-Fried Noodles

Ingredients:

For the Protein:

  • 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for steak)

For the Noodles:

  • 8 oz lo mein or egg noodles (or spaghetti)

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or sesame oil

  • 4–5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 onion, sliced

  • 1 cup bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced

  • 1/2 cup snap peas or broccoli (optional)

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (or extra oyster sauce)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1/2 tsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp water (to loosen if needed)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Protein:

    • Season steak slices with salt, pepper, and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Toss with cornstarch for extra tenderness if desired.

    • Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the Noodles:

    • Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  3. Sear the Steak:

    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

    • Sear steak slices until browned and just cooked through (2–3 minutes). Remove and set aside.

  4. Cook the Shrimp:

    • In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Cook shrimp until pink and opaque (1–2 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.

  5. Sauté Aromatics:

    • Lower heat slightly. Add butter and let it melt.

    • Add garlic and onions, sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

    • Add bell peppers and any optional vegetables. Stir-fry until just tender (2–3 minutes).

  6. Combine Everything:

    • Add noodles to the pan along with the sauce ingredients.

    • Toss to coat well and stir-fry 2 minutes to heat through.

    • Return steak and shrimp to the pan. Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated.

  7. Garnish and Serve:

    • Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or chili flakes if desired.

    • Serve hot and enjoy!
