GARLIC BUTTER BEEF BITES WITH CREAMY MASHED POTATOES

Here’s a mouthwatering recipe for Garlic Butter Beef Bites with Creamy Mashed Potatoes – a perfect comfort meal that’s rich, savory, and satisfying.


🥩 Garlic Butter Beef Bites with Creamy Mashed Potatoes

🍽️ Serves: 4

⏱️ Total Time: ~40 minutes


🧄 Ingredients

For the Beef Bites:

  • 1.5 lbs (700g) sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • 3 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

  • Chili flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

For the Creamy Mashed Potatoes:

  • 2 lbs (900g) Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled and quartered

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter version)

  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Chopped chives (optional garnish)


🔪 Instructions

1. Make the Mashed Potatoes:

  1. Place the peeled and quartered potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold, salted water.

  2. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15–20 minutes, until potatoes are fork-tender.

  3. Drain and return to the pot. Mash with a potato masher or ricer.

  4. Stir in butter, cream, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Keep warm on low heat, stirring occasionally.


2. Cook the Beef Bites:

  1. Pat the beef cubes dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear the beef in batches for 2–3 minutes until browned on all sides. Don’t overcrowd the pan.

  3. Remove beef and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t let it burn).

  5. Return beef to the pan. Toss to coat in garlic butter. Add parsley and herbs.

  6. Cook for 1–2 more minutes to heat through.


🥄 To Serve:

  • Spoon a generous helping of creamy mashed potatoes onto each plate.

  • Top with garlic butter beef bites.

  • Drizzle remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top.

  • Garnish with extra herbs or chives if desired.
