Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Garlic Butter Baked Scallops:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) sea scallops, cleaned and patted dry
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Baking Dish: Grease a baking dish lightly with butter or cooking spray. Arrange the scallops in a single layer in the dish.
  3. Make Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, white wine (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  4. Add Parmesan and Paprika: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and paprika over the scallops.
  5. Pour Sauce Over Scallops: Pour the garlic butter sauce evenly over the scallops, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Bake: Bake the scallops in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and slightly golden on top. Be careful not to overcook them.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove the scallops from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Tips:

  • Serve these scallops with a side of steamed vegetables, rice, or over a bed of pasta for a complete meal.
  • For an extra touch of flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.

Enjoy your delicious Garlic Butter Baked Scallops!
