Posted on August 12, 2024 by admin
Here’s a simple and delicious coconut and condensed milk dessert recipe that requires minimal ingredients and effort:

Coconut and Condensed Milk Balls

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups desiccated coconut (plus extra for rolling)
  • 1 can (14 oz or 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Mix Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine the desiccated coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt if using.
    • Stir until the mixture is well combined. It should be thick and sticky.
  2. Form the Balls:
    • Scoop out small portions of the mixture (about a tablespoon each) and roll them between your palms to form smooth balls.
    • Roll each ball in the extra desiccated coconut to coat them evenly.
  3. Chill:
    • Place the coconut balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Serve:
    • Once chilled, the coconut and condensed milk balls are ready to be enjoyed. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Variations:

  • Chocolate Drizzle: Drizzle the balls with melted chocolate for an extra indulgent touch.
  • Add Nuts: Press an almond or hazelnut into the center of each ball before rolling.
  • Flavor Twist: Add a few drops of almond or coconut extract for a different flavor profile.

This dessert is perfect for a quick treat or as a sweet addition to your holiday spread. Enjoy!
