Dump and bake meatballs are a quick and easy way to make delicious meatballs without the hassle of frying or sautéing. Here’s a simple recipe for dump and bake meatballs:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, turkey, or a combination)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them in a baking dish.
  4. Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, making sure they are well-coated.
  5. If desired, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and have reached an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  8. If you like, you can broil the meatballs for a few minutes at the end to brown the cheese on top.
  9. Once done, remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Enjoy your dump and bake meatballs! You can serve them over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread for a delicious meal.
